A letter arrived at the Carmelite Monastery at "Glenvale", near Newry from Claire Sinclair of Adelaide, Australia.  She was looking for descendants of her Great Grandparents, Samuel & Susanna Hasley of Lisnaree. It seems they had sailed for Australia in the 1840s and called their new property, "Glenville".  So when Claire saw the name Glenvale, Newry, she thought she had a link.

The Sisters were unable to help, as they only knew of Glennys residing at Glenvale.  Eventually the letter passed to Adrian Murdock and he was able to locate the original Megaw homestead in Lisnaree and send a photo to Claire.
She was delighted to to hear that Megaws still lived locally, although she can't yet link them to her family.  The Megaw family in Australia has spread far and wide and one member is putting together a Family Ancestry Book for most of them are interested in their roots.
