Glad to see the entry for Rev. Lawson Burnett and hope someone can help please.
His son (Harry) Henry Wilmer
Burnett, age 28, a Lance Corporal 4th Seaforth Highlanders is remembered on the Village and Church War
Memorials in Crossmichael near Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire (Dumfries & Galloway) - but
why??
I've yet to make a connection between Harry and this area. Can anyone help?

Hi,
great site I'm interested in the mcmaster family who resided at The Glebe donaghmore and were
related to waddell family. I'm a relative on my mother's side and want to see how far back i can go
with this.

Excellent web site Adrian, wish I had known of it sooner.I'm glad to see that the past isn't just
fading away. There's too much personal history that needs to be recorded.
Keep up the excellent
work.
Best regards,
Brian

Hi
I am embarking on tracing my predecessors and was so pleased to see the inclusion of my great uncle Rev
Lawson Burnett in the Donaghmore Presbyterian church article.
Does anyone know what became of his daughters?

"Best Wishes" to Michael McKeown of the "Old Newry Society" as he soon arrives in
Tasmania to visit the homes of John Martin & John Mitchel during the years of exile! Many thanks to all
those who cared for the two men during their years there!

Greetings Adrian,
Thank you for creating this long-overdue website for Loughorn folks. We are scattered
throughout the world like goose down in a tornado, so we need a local contact, a place to generate and learn
of "Loughorn News."
Best regards,

I've been wanting to see more web sites dealing with my ancestors homeland. Glad to see yours come

, Hey Adrian,
This is a great website and makes me "homesick" to come back to Ireland and see
the beautiful country. My time with the film crew was incredible as you took us around. One of these days
I'll come back and bring my wife with me and we'll drop in to say hello.
All the best,
Matt

This is the beginning of a wonderful addition to Newry history. My gggrandparents were married in Loughorne.
Their son Isaac McCrum, moved to Belfast, where he married, and my grandmother was born. She finally came to
Montreal Canada, after Isaac born, and thus begins our McCrum line in Canada.
